Inspired by Remember Me, a poem written by Elizabeth Margaret Chandler (1807-1834), this work is an art song for soprano and piano with evocative, colourful harmonies and word painting. The recurring themes, at times returning in fragments, musically reflect the narrator's desire to be remembered. Amidst shifting harmonies, the audience is drawn back to a repeated notes motif, which grounds the musical and poetic narrative.
